MindBridge Get Together Recap
The meeting began with a warm welcome and quick introductions, giving attendees the option to share or simply listen. From there, we revisited the four main MindBridge departments—Outreach, Social Media, Blog & Newsletter, and Fundraising. Each department has a director in place, and new members are still encouraged to join where they feel most aligned.
A major focus of the session was the Outreach department, where we broke down its three sub-teams and their unique roles:
- Social Media Outreach: Engaging in comments, community pages, and stories on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Discord to spread MindBridge’s message.
- Blog & Forum Outreach: Writing thoughtful comments on blogs, Medium articles, Quora, YouTube, and similar platforms—always tying back to our blog, website, or Discord.
- Partnerships & Freelance Outreach: Using outreach templates to connect with nonprofits, influencers, and organizations. Once the initial contact is made, MB leadership continues the conversation.
We also emphasized the importance of Google account setup for MB-related tasks. Members were encouraged to create dedicated accounts, making it easier to collaborate on Docs/Drive, keep files organized, and streamline sharing. Instructions were shared in the #welcome channel.
The group then brainstormed event ideas, such as movie nights, game nights, and themed discussions. Members were invited to share suggestions openly in the server or via DM, helping to shape upcoming community experiences.
Meeting Summary
At our July 24th AMA, the team came together to align on foundational priorities and chart the path forward for our movement. The central focus was preparing for 501(c)(3) non-profit registration, which will unlock our ability to open a bank account, collect donations, and establish long-term credibility. To cover the required $900 in filing and legal fees, the team agreed to frame this as a “Founding Campaign”—a historic opportunity for early members to rally around and contribute.
We also refined fundraising strategies, including corporate sponsorships, creative events, and raffles (with gift cards as a practical prize option). In outreach, the vision remains bold: reaching thousands of schools worldwide within 18 months. A pilot program will launch in one school within six months, with ambassadors and sub-teams (Social Media, Blog/Forum, Partnerships) taking on clear roles to scale this vision.
Internally, we emphasized professionalism and accountability—standardizing emails, protecting shared data, and implementing supportive member check-ins. On the tech side, our custom AI assistants and onboarding tool will continue to enhance productivity, provide 24/7 guidance for new members, and streamline operations.
Finally, we decided to delay launching a LinkedIn presence until after our non-profit status is secured, ensuring brand credibility on professional platforms.
Together, these steps mark a turning point—laying the groundwork for growth while staying true to our mission of building a global, youth-led movement for change.
